Evista is a newly approved drug used for the prevention of osteoporosis in post-menopausal women. It is classified as a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM). This means that it produces its effects by binding to estrogen receptors. - Zyloric (Allopurinol, Lopurin, Zyloprim)
Used to treat chronic gout and to keep the body from producing excessive amounts of uric acid, which could lead to or aggravate various medical problems. It is used to prevent gout attacks, not to treat them once they occur.
